NATIONAL ICE CREAM MONTH Monday, July 01, 2013
But more often, hip hop trumps rock and naps are more galvanizing than nine innings played. Still that doesn’t mean there’s one we can all agree to get behind come July, and that’s ice cream.
So, with National Ice Cream Month upon us, we’ve once again dreamt up several fun, inspiring, inventive homemade ice cream flavors that’ll knock the socks right from your feet (so keep those shoes tied tight).
Take, for instance, something we call Black Pepper Roasted Cherry.
As it’s implied, we roast cherries that have been delicately rolled in black pepper, and then gently stir them into the ice cream.
But not just any ice cream. This plush and tangy ice cream’s anchored not by milk (although that’s in there, too), but by chèvre. Yes, chèvre.
So come on in a dip a spoon it some. And, without further ado, our remaining flavors:
- Salt & Vinegar
- Sweet Corn
- The Couch Potato (a smooth semi-sweet salt-and-pepper potato chip variation that’ll totally trick your mouth)
- Crème Brûlée
- Honey Graham
- Spicy Cashew
- Peaches & Cream
- Local Raspberry Sherbet
- Mint Chocolate Ganache (vegan, gluten-free, and yes, you read that right)
- Salted Caramel (vegan, gluten-free)
- Chocolate Ancho Sorbet (vegan, gluten-free)
