New Avenus INK Friday, July 26, 2013
Staring now and going forward, our screenprinting partner is New Avenues INK, a non-profit business offshoot of New Avenues for Youth, the organization that provides job training skills to homeless teens.
In fact, we just hosted a fundraiser for INK with the aim of helping them join the Pearl District Business Association. It worked, and they have.
Do you run a business or a nonprofit organization that needs screenprinted tees? Check out INK—their pricing’s competitive and their printings run as low as a dozen shirts.
But most importantly, you’re not only providing cool screenprinting jobs to teens that want them—teens who do everything, from sales and marketing to shipping and receiving—you’re funding this and already existing New Avenues for Youth programs.
If all that doesn’t hook you, consider the following before selecting your next screenprinter.
- Of the nearly 800 youths NYA served in 2012, 464 received job training, 114 got job placements and 47 were given internships.
- NAY also placed 75 teens in transitional or community housing, and report that 85 percent of them graduated to renting their own spaces within a year of exiting the program.
You already need those shirts. Why not feel good about getting them?
