Oatmeal & Granola

Oatmeal & Granola Monday, October 28, 2013

granolaLet’s face it: on its surface oatmeal’s pretty boring.

It’s beige, it’s lumpy, and compared to everything else on our menu, it’s, well, vanilla.

But if you use steel cut oats—Bob’s Red Mill steel cut oats—and pair ’em up with brown sugar, fresh berries and dried fruit, well, now you’ve got a healthy (and tasty) way to start your day.

Besides, oatmeal’s good for you. Eating it lowers your cholesterol, keeps you slim and ensures a healthy ticker. It’ll even cure your poison oak.

So eat some, especially today, because today is National Oatmeal Day!

But if oatmeal’s still too gruely for you, start your day off with its jazzier, much cooler cousin: Granola!

Ours is made of toasted almonds, oats, pecans and seeds, (sesame and sunflower), coconut shavings, cinnamon, brown sugar, a pinch of salt, and a few kisses of vanilla, maple syrup and honey thrown in for good luck.

Garnished with strawberries, blueberries and dollop of yogurt.

Available for breakfast and brunch, every day of the whole year.
