OG BURGER MONTH Wednesday, June 10, 2015



You’re probably already hip to this, but May is National Burger Month holiday, and we’re celebrating it at the OG by offering different weekly lunch and dinner Blue Plate Burger Specials every night of every week.


For the first week, we offered Chef AJ Voytko’s Squealer Burger (one 6-ounce all-beef-and-smoked-bacon house-ground patty, one hard-fried egg, a tangled nest of lime-pickled red onions, chopped lettuce, chipotle aioli and one griddled on the inside homemade sesame seeded brioche bun).

We followed up the following week with his In-N-Out-inspired Double Double (two 3-ounce all-beef house-ground hamburger patties, tomato, red rings of onion, caramelized onions, our not-so-secret special sauce, and, in lieu of American cheese, homemade pimento cheese).

For week three, we teamed up with our pastry department for a bacon maple donut cheeseburger, which had the same fixins as our standard burger (lettuce, tomato, red onions, shallot aioli and a house-ground 6-ounce patty), only this one was served with two bacon strips on a homemade maple donut bar.
