ORIGINAL BEER: CRISPIN HARD CIDER Tuesday, June 28, 2011
When the shines a lot longer than usual before it sets, that means summer’s here, and when it comes to choosing a beverage, that sunshine, and its heat, can seemingly put you a pickle. Because when the sun shines directly overhead, it’s almost certainly too early—and probably too hot—for a red wine, and maybe even too hot for a hop-forward pint of Oregon draught beer. Those can (probably) wait until later.
Until then, we’re pleased to announce not only the perfect mid-day solution to this tippling dilemma, but we’re finally giving you what you’ve been asking for for some time now: an ice-cold glass of bright, refreshing hard apple cider.
Behold! The Crispin Cider Company’s Original Hard Cider. British-inspired and American-made (just don’t tell the drunken moneys of Borneo, who just might lay claim as the first fermenters of fruit), this 5 percent ABV hard cider is crisp, clean, sharp and best served over ice.
Made by fermenting pure Washington state and Oregon apples, Crispin’s Original Hard Cider contains no added sugars, no preservatives and—rejoice beer drinkers who can no longer drink beer—it’s gluten-free!
Not at all sweet, this cider just might be the ideal beverage to pair with our lunch and dinner specials. We think it pairs particularly well with our BBQ Chicken, with just about any of our half-pound burgers or with our daily lunch and dinner fish specials.
Try it on the rocks and see for yourself.
