They’re ubiquitous breakfast-brunch staples—there are place around town not only dedicated to them, but that even advertise them in their DBAs and logos.
So what makes our so special? Lots, actually.
There are the two made-from-scratch cakes, of course.
And at first, it may seems like our batter’s a little lumpy. It’s not. Those lumps aren’t lumps. They’re loose little balls of Ricotta Cheese, seasoned with Orange Zest.
You won’t need maple syrup to spice our cakes up, either, because our flapjacks rest in a viscous pool of Pure Oregon Honey from our friends at Queen Bee Apiaries in nearby Corvalis.
Likewise, you won’t need butter, because we crown our cakes with caramelized apples and a dollop of that same zesty ricotta cheese where that butter would normally go.
Our pancakes are decadent, sure, but not in an ALL CAPS-exclamation point kinda way.
They’re subtly decadent. And rightly so.
They’re rich and fluffy, delicate and fruity, slightly bitter and slightly sweet.
