ORIGINAL CONTESTS: PI DAY = PIE DAY! Sunday, March 13, 2011
Attention Poindexters and Poindextresses! Put on your thinking caps, because March 14 (3.14) is Pi Day.
This Euclidean holiday has been officially celebrated since 1989, when physicists on the West Coast gathered to chew over this seemingly endless mathematical constant which they paired with a celebratory feast of—what else—that most circular of all circular dishes: pie.
On March 14, The Original will be tweeting out to all of Portland trivia questions about all things π, so be sure to follow our Twitter feed to test your knowledge.
Be among the first 40 who stops by our restaurant and correctly answers one of these questions and—that’s right—you win a free slice of pie!
So on your marks…get set…think!
