But that’s because your body hasn’t tried our new line of cold, but spicy in a wintery way soda jerk sodas.*
First, there’s our Spiced Orange Soda, made with cinnamon sticks, juniper, elderflower, pink peppercorns and the zest and juices peeled and squeezed from a dozen oranges. And if you spike it with vodka, it’s the perfect winter bracer after (or in the middle of) a day’s holiday shopping.
Next is out Sweet Potato Soda, which our pastry department conjured up buy blending, steeping and straining the essences of yams, nutmeg, vanilla and, because why not, a pound of toasted marshmallows. Plus, this one comes both cold and hot (it’s what we use to make our Sweet Potato Pa-Toddy Hot Toddies).
Lastly, we’ve resurrected our Cranberry Thyme Soda, a subtly spicy concoction made with grated ginger, black peppercorns, red chile flakes, the titular thyme, of course, and 48 ounces of cranberries. That’s three pounds of cranberries per soda batch (!). Wanna spice it up a bit more? Ask us to stir in some gin, and voilá! Something spicy (but not hot), icy (as in cold) and as red as a poinsettia bouquet.
