Original server Ben Comfort is from California’s Bay Area and Sheffield, U.K. He joined The Original in 2009 as a food and drink slinger.

When not working, I spend my time: creatively (making art) or socially (making friends).

“If I weren’t alive, I would be dead, because that’s how it works.”

The genre of music that would score my life would be: contemporary electronic/downtempo—I try to maintain a calm state of mind.

Dogs or cats: cats.

My favorite season is: spring. Warmer weather, rain and fantastic outdoor smells.

Of all Original dishes, my favorite is: Braised Short Ribs with Kale.

Library, cinema or music club: music club.

Beatles or Stones: Beatles.

Automobile, bike, bus or foot: foot.

Toilet paper (over or under): over.

My secret talent is: keeping secrets (it’s a secret, tho).

My first words were: (pointing at distant tractors) “Toys!”

I was named after: My Welsh grandfather.

I put on hotdogs: spicy mustard and sauerkraut.

The last book I read was: Alan Weisman’s The World Without Us.

My favorite Portland spot is: Top of the Vue Tower in the South Park Blocks.

If I were to make a bumper sticker, it would read: Free Bumper Sticker, Limit: One.

The question I would most like answered is: What is the most important achievement (accomplished or yet to be accomplished, concrete or abstract) in your life?
