Oysters Love Chocolate: The Original Valentine’s Day Dinner Menu Friday, February 11, 2011
How you compare your thee to a summer’s day is not the question. Rather, the question is: do your remember the rest? Should words fail you—what good are mere words on a day like Valentine’s Day anyway?—worry not, because your date doesn’t want to hear how you feel. Your dates wants you to show how you feel.
That’s where we come in.
Valentine’s Day comes but once a year, and this year, sadly, it comes not at week’s end, but on a Monday. Sigh.
But it’s a day so dear to us that we decided one day simply will not do. That’s why The Original invites you to celebrate it all weekend long, from Friday-Monday, February 11-14.*
Behold and enjoy, over four sumptuous nights, the tactile and sensual pleasures of Oysters on the Half Shell, Truffle-Poached Lobster and… Smoked Pork Chops?
“Nothing turns me on more than a good pork chop,” says our executive chef and our cupid-in-the-kitchen, B.J. Smith.”Besides, I just want to make good, simple food that will enhance the conversation and your enjoyment of the company of the person you love.”
So come downtown and start your night right with a glass of bubbly, or try one of our classic Valentine cocktails: The Love Drop (vodka, triple sec and passionfruit puree) or The Love Punch (St. Germain, champagne and cranberry juice).
Penultimately (if you know what we mean), cap your night by toasting with something from our fine selection of dessert wines, and pair them with something sweet, like our trio of chocolate desserts, which come in elements of dark, milk and white.
Your sweetheart will thank you.
*Regular Dinner Menu Available All Weekend Long. No Happy Hour on Monday, February 14.
