must’ve been the night when somebodies—in the middle of the last century, in the middle of the Great White North—had a great idea.

The lightbulbs must’ve switched on just shy of 4 a.m. in the minds of hungry men who, in the previous hours, had no doubt consumed quite some bellyfuls of beer.

Because of all things we know to about Poutine—a tangled weave of French fries, cheese curds and gravy—it must’ve been the inspired dream of a beer-drinker, because who but a beer-drinker would dream this up?

Either way, they gave themselves—and then the world—this northern delicacy.

And we give our delicacy a couple of soft twists. In other words, our Poutine comes three ways: standard and as is, as well as Brunch and Late night models.

If it’s early and you you need something to soak up your Friday or Saturday night fun, we serve ‘em at brunch, topped, of course, with a pair of poached eggs.
